Volunteer Job Descriptions
The success of Music Fest depends, in so many ways, on the ideas and efforts of volunteers. We look forward to receiving your application. After reviewing the job descriptions below, please indicated your areas of interest on the sign-up form. Volunteer positions are restricted to those who are at least 15 years of age. Volunteer t-shirts are $5 and must be worn when on shift.

Youth Volunteer Application
Administrative Duties - Assisting staff. Requires friendly, mature attitude
Artist Hospitality - Look after the artists, as per contract (rider) at the hotel and on site. Maintain peaceful, tidy backstage area. Mature individuals with respect for privacy and a positive attitude is a must.
Backstage Assistance - Lifting, carefully moving equipment, high energy environment. Requires co-operative, hardworking people who take direction well. Music/backstage experience preferred. Must be 19 years of age or older.
Beer Garden - Servers. Must have SERVE IT RIGHT Certificate. Must be at least 19 years of age. Busy, fast-paced environment.
Beer Garden - Other. Lifting, moving cases, bussing tables and removing cardboard. Must be 19 years of age.
Beer Ticket Sales - Happy, positive people who are providing customer service and accurately making change and selling tickets.
Box Office Sales - Fast paced. Sell tickets, attach wristbands. Cashiering and good organizational skills are important
Campground Attendant - Assist campers in finding their sites. Positive attitude required.
Driver - Must have a Class 4 license
Floater/Temp - Take care of odd jobs, fill in gaps. Help with important errands. Need to be able to do something new at the drop of a hat and to wait patiently while they are on duty.
Info Booth - Help new visitors, give out information about the festival and our town. Operate lost and found. Pleasant helpful staff is needed here.
KidZone - Sell balloons and tickets. Keep an orderly line-up. Needs friendly, cheerful people who like kids and families.
Merchandise - Sell t-shirts, souvenirs, and other official merchandise of Music Fest and selected band merchandise. Cashier experience and sales experience is helpful. Needs organized calm people.
Parking Attendant - First contact for festival visitors. Need nice helpful people who will ensure that the VIP parking area is reserved for those with appropriate passes. Also hand out Festival brochures and maps when requested.
Guest Services - Assist the hired security. Assure the safety of people and site security. Monitor gates. Check wristbands. Calm, assertive people who are willing to help, provide direction.
Site Setup - Help set tables, chairs, tents, barricades, signs, etc. Need energy and enthusiasm.
Site Takedown - Help take down the above. Need to take direction well.
VIP Lounge Servers - Requires personable, flexible helpers who will keep a clean welcoming environment for VIP guests. Need your Serve it Right Certificate. Must be 19 years of age.
