Shades of Loud
Stage 2 | 12:20 to 1:20 pm

Shades of Loud were born fully swinging during the summer of 2007 in New Denver, BC. Three friends with completely different musical backgrounds but similar attitudes and work ethic got together to see what would happen. After the first jam session (which lasted about four hours) had finished, none of them could remember exactly what had happened. But, they liked it… Described as a mix of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers and the White Stripes, Shades of Loud bring their brand of all-original psychedelic-punk to the stage with generous helpings of funk, rock, adrenaline and booty-shaking beats. As Bill Beavin says, “I don’t know what the hell you guys were playing, but that kicked ass!”
Jeremy Down (guitars, vocals) – Jeremy has rocked Canada on all three coasts with bands such as Lorded and his solo project, the Jeremy Down Band.
J Buttle (bass, vocals) – J has played across Canada with bluegrass ensembles and alt-rock bands alike.
Chris “Fuzzy” Warren (drums, vocals) – Fuzzy has beaten skins for Chesterfield Dreams and is the man behind the funky beats of Fuzzy Logik.
